Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has officially launched the much-anticipated Rebel 500 in India, priced at ₹5.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram). Bookings are now open at select BigWing Topline dealerships in Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, with deliveries expected to commence in June 2025.

Classic Cruiser Meets Modern Appeal

Making its Indian debut, the Rebel 500 is part of Honda’s premium motorcycle expansion strategy. With its retro-inspired cruiser styling and contemporary elements, the Rebel 500 stands out. It sports a blacked-out finish, a teardrop-style fuel tank, a round LED headlamp, and a low seat height of just 690mm, ensuring a comfortable ride for all riders. The motorcycle will be available in a single Standard variant in Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic color.

Engine & Performance

At its heart is a 471cc liquid-cooled, parallel twin-cylinder engine, producing 34 kW at 8,500 RPM and 43.3 Nm of torque at 6,000 RPM. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the engine is tuned to deliver strong low-end torque and a smooth power curve throughout the rev range. The stubby exhaust adds to its cruiser character with a deep, throaty exhaust note.

Braking duties are managed by a 296mm disc up front and 240mm at the rear, supported by dual-channel ABS. It rides on 16-inch Dunlop tyres and comes with an inverted LCD instrument cluster for essential rider info.
