Simran Singh, a popular social media influencer and radio jockey from Jammu and Kashmir, tragically died by suicide in Gurugram, police reported on Thursday.
Her body was discovered on Wednesday night, hanging in her room. Authorities confirmed that no suicide note was found at the scene.
According to Simran’s family, she had been facing personal challenges for some time, which may have led to this unfortunate incident. Investigating Officer ASI Pradeep Kumar from Sadar Police Station, Gurugram, stated that the family’s written complaint prompted the investigation. A post-mortem was conducted on Thursday morning, after which the body was handed over to her family. No case has been registered in connection with the incident.
The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) expressed deep condolences over Simran’s untimely demise. In a post on X, the party shared,
“Dr. Farooq Abdullah, President of JKNC, Vice President and Chief Minister @OmarAbdullah, and Deputy CM @Surinderch55 have expressed profound grief over the tragic and untimely demise of Simran Singh, popularly known as RJ Simran and lovingly referred to as ‘Jammu ki Dhadkan.’
Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah extended heartfelt condolences to Simran’s family, friends, and her countless fans. They prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength for her loved ones to endure this unimaginable loss,” the post added.
