Huawei Mate XTs Goes Official on Vmall: Tri-Fold Smartphone in 4 Colours, Launching Sept 4
Huawei is gearing up to launch its next-generation foldable, the Mate XTs, in China next week. Ahead of its official debut on September 4, the company has begun accepting pre-reservations for the device via Vmall. New listings and teasers on Weibo have confirmed the smartphone’s design, key features, and available variants.
Huawei Mate XTs: Design and Features
The Huawei Mate XTs is a tri-fold smartphone that supports stylus input, enabling users to perform functions such as annotating documents and sketching. The back panel features a fine-textured finish with a distinctive diamond-cut camera module.
The rear camera setup includes four sensors, arranged around a pill-shaped LED flash that sits vertically at the center. The presence of Huawei’s XMAGE branding above the flash suggests enhanced photography capabilities.
Colourways and Storage Options
According to the Vmall listing, the Mate XTs will be offered in four colour options (translated from Chinese):
- Dark Black
- Hibiscus
- Ruihong
- White
In terms of configurations, the device will be available in three RAM and storage variants:
- 16GB RAM + 256GB storage
- 16GB RAM + 512GB storage
- 16GB RAM + 1TB storage
Hardware and Specifications (Expected)
The Mate XTs is expected to be powered by Huawei’s in-house Kirin 9020 chipset and run the latest HarmonyOS 5.1. Rumours also point to several advanced features, including:
- A 7.9-inch main display
- A triple rear camera setup, led by a 50MP primary sensor with variable aperture support
- A refined Tiangong dual-hinge system for better folding durability
- Satellite connectivity
- A 5,600mAh battery
Launch Date
Huawei has officially confirmed that the Mate XTs will be launched in China on September 4. Interestingly, this comes just days before Apple’s iPhone 17 series announcement, scheduled for September 9, suggesting Huawei may be aiming to capture attention ahead of the major competitor’s reveal.
