Renault has unveiled the updated 2025 Kiger in India, starting at Rs 6.29 lakh. This marks the first major refresh for the sub-4 metre SUV, bringing a host of cosmetic tweaks and new features to keep it competitive in the compact SUV segment.
Design Refresh: Sharper and More Modern
The exterior design sees noticeable changes, including a redesigned headlamp setup, new front grille, and the latest Renault logo. Both the front and rear bumpers have been updated for a more aggressive look, while the new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels enhance its sporty appeal. Despite the updates, the overall silhouette of the Kiger remains familiar, retaining its compact and dynamic stance.
Interior Updates and New Features
Inside, the cabin has been refreshed with new upholstery and a revised design theme that gives it a more premium feel. While cabin space remains unchanged, Renault has added several key features to improve comfort and safety.
Six airbags are now standard across the range. The Kiger also gains a 360-degree camera and ventilated front seats, which are welcome additions in this segment.
Engine Options Remain the Same
Under the hood, the Kiger continues with its existing powertrain options:
- 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol with manual and AMT gearbox
- 1.0-litre turbo-petrol with manual and CVT gearbox options
Prices for the turbo-petrol variants now start at Rs 9.99 lakh, with the top-spec CVT model priced at Rs 11.2 lakh. While this is a slight price hike, it is balanced by the addition of new features.
Trims and Paint Options
The updated Kiger is available in four trim levels: Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion. A new and vibrant paint scheme has also been introduced, adding to its funky and youthful appeal. Functional roof rails are now part of the package, enhancing practicality.
